It is milled from a single block of aluminum for its durability and strength. The Lbracket allows you to mount your camera in a horizontal or vertical mode into a compatible Arcatype clamp or head. The brackets antitwist locator tabs hug the sides of the body to prevent the camera from moving while mounted to the base.The vertical component of the bracket is machined to maintain access to the memory card battery compartment and cameras side ports. The front and rear of the base have also been cut so your finger can gain access to the lens release button or to lift the tilting rear LCD screen.
