“Greetings From New Mexico” Original Acrylic on Tin 40”L x 24”W x 1”D A family from a galaxy far, far away has heard about the famed 'Land of Enchantment', and decides it's time for a family vacation! Armed with a suitcase, earth-style travel gear, and their antenna-equipped pug, a bumpy landing brings them to a crossroads where weathered beams point out enticing destinations including: Santa Fe, Taos, Albuquerque, Madrid, or Roswell, NM. (They visited Roswell back in 1947, so for this trip, their general interest lies within the other four towns.) Surrounded by alien landscape of desert shrubs and flat mesa tops, an earthly billboard communicates to them, "Greetings from New Mexico." The family's youngest, being the most in tune with earthling traditions, sticks out his thumb to hitch a ride. A local in a shinny 1950's Chevy rolls up. By way of New Mexico's vast, radiant terrain, and endless blue skies, he knows that these visitors from out of this world are in for a magical time. Sta
