He began his career in 1996 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. where he worked out of an old school house and quickly began attracting the attention of designers including Richard Keith Langham and Albert Hadley. His business and reputation grew steadily over the next few years, and in the fall of 1999 he moved to New York City where he still creates his one of-a-kind lamps with a crew of skilled artisans.
