Each Secca is handcrafted by skilled glassmakers. It is made of a three-layer structure in which a soft glass is sandwiched between hard glass, and only the inner soft glass cracks over time due to the difference in shrinkage rate. Cracks will increase little by little over about 3 to 5 years after being manufactured. With our unique glass manufacturing method, each one has a different shape, weight, how air bubbles enter, and how the glass inside breaks. Please enjoy the gorgeous Secca and how it changes over time.
