SAINT PETER When Jesus saw Peter and his brother Andrew fishing in the sea of Galilee, He called out to them and told them to follow Him, and He would make them "Fishers of Men" (Matthew 4:19). Peter faced many failures in his personal walk with God, and he struggled to figure out how to be a true man of God, but Jesus knew him and he knew Jesus. When Peter was facing persecution for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he ultimately was crucified for his faith in the Lord. It is widely recognized that when Peter was crucified, he was hung upside down. The Petrine Cross is being used in the letter "T". Matthew 16:15-19 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades
