Hand Painted Resin Statue of Baphomet Artist: Maxine Miller Baphomet is a deity the Knights Templar were accused of worshipping, and that subsequently was incorporated into occult and mystical traditions. References to Baphomet go back as far as 1098, but the goat-headed figure shown here dates to the drawing by a French ceremonial magician Eliphas Levi in 1856. The name Baphomet appeared in trial transcripts for the Inquisition of the Knights Templar starting in 1307.
