Sony PXW FS7 Camera

As the C300 has gotten rather old in the tooth, we started looking for something that could fill the void between the C300's all-day performance and all the features that have become must-haves in the last few years: 4k, multiple mounts and slomo. Like the C300, the FS7 has easy timecode support, xlr inputs, built-in NDs and a do-all formfactor.  Though it can be a bit fussy sometimes (looking at you, Sony menu engineers), the FS7 is a great all-rounder that can do everything from grueling doc/reality weeks to button-down studio work.
