This pot is designed as a daily use pot, especially for brewing Pu'er tea. The wide shape gives the Pu'er leaves space to spread and cools the hot water more quickly than a tall pot - which means you get the initial pour to awaken the tea flavor and a beautiful long brew, but without being at boiling so long that it brings out undesirable astringent and bitter notes.
