OpenKSK PCB Bundle

Reproduction PCBs for the Sega CD Model 1 & 1992+ Japanese MegaCD Model 1 with Sony Drive Train. Please read the listing carefully before purchasing. The OpenKSK is a reproduction of the Sega CD Model 1's laser board for systems with Sony drive trains. Particularly this board's later variants are known to be extremely fragile. All but the earliest boards are made of cheap, paper-like material with singled sided eyelets connected to thin traces with no teardrops. These pads are extremely easily damaged during recapping, especially if the board has any kind of pre-existing damage from water, humidity or acid leaks. What it does:  Allows the clean repair of boards with damaged or missing pads, particularly for the electrolytic capacitors, avoiding bodge wires in a circuit that is quite sensitive. Allows a safe re-cap with extremely thick capacitor pads that will not damage easily.  Pairs well with Cosam's Repro Main board for a stylistic look What it does NOT do: Does not fix bur
