I built this form as an exercise in mapping the interior of a honey bee hive using color and pattern, building a form to symbolize the phenomenon of supersedure cells (wherein worker bees raise a new queen to replace the one they find unacceptable). This print is one of three in a series I have been calling Bee Capitalism, exploring the possible parallels between bee colonies and human economic constructs.
