Rolex Datejust 1601 'S'mores' - 1978

Brand: Rolex Model: Datejust 1601  Year:  1978 Case: Stainless steel 36 mm case in good condition, Appears to have been polished lightly previously however the watch still retains beefy lugs that still hold its original bevels Bezel: Yellow Gold Fluted Bezel Crown: Original Rolex Screw Down Crystal: Acrylic with no scratches Dial & Hands: Original Rolex champagne dial that has aged wonderfully to a taupe-like matte dial. The Dial has all of its lume plots intact and very even tritium burn on all hour markers. The lume plots look like 'marshmallows' hence the nickname that we have given this watch, 'S'mores'. We usually do not see watches with tritium burn this evenly across the hour markers while still having their tritium lume all intact. In addition, the dial and hands are both a cream color and match perfectly.
