2023 Les Jamelles Pinot Noir, Pays d'Oc, France

It was inevitable that Catherine, the daughter of Beaujolais winegrowers, and Laurent, representing the 5th generation of a family of Burgundian negociants, meet at university in 1986 where they were both studying oenology. With little space for young & fresh winemakers in Burgundy they decided to set up their new project in the Languedoc. Influenced by their Burgundian origins, Catherine Delaunay offers a wine that is faithful to its varietal with aromas of red berries and a mineral touch that give it pleasing freshness and well-rounded tannins. Sourced from 4 different terroirs this Pinot is aged in lightly toasted French barrels for 6-8 months. Showing red and black fruits with delicate florals and  a touch of woody vanilla.
