Key Features: Updated in 2020 with 0.7" x 1.0" STEMMA QT standard, included 4 mounting holes and 2 STEMMA QT connectors for plug and play Detects the "time of flight", or how long the laser light has taken to bounce back to the sensor. 'Little sister' of the Adafruit VL53L0X ToF sensor - handles about 5mm to 100mm of range distance Ready to work with most common microcontrollers or SBCs The VL6180X is a Time of Flight distance sensor like no other you've used! The sensor contains a very tiny laser source, and a matching sensor. Since it uses a very narrow light source, it is good for determining distance of only the surface directly in front of it. The 'cone' of sensing is very narrow, unlike sonar. It is much more precise and doesn't have linearity problems or 'double imaging' where you can't tell if an object is very far or very close like an  IR distance sensors that measure the amount of light bounced. It also includes a small and easy to use in any robotics or interactive project,
