Tecnocreto

This project was started as a sort of visual diary during an extended stay in Mexico City in 2019 and finished in Berlin during the early pandemic months of 2020. Artist Gwenaël Rattke collaged collected images and geometric shapes he had airbrushed into a large blank book. Once completed, this “scrapbook” was scanned and adapted for publishing.Tecnocreto subjectively explores connections between industrial construction processes, commercial graphic design, Mexico City as a place of exile and emigration and the poetic and transformational potential of art when it is understood primarily as a form of healing.
