Jimi Hendrix's "Band of Gypsys" was released on Capitol Records in 1970. This record documents Hendrix's two concerts at the Fillmore East on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970, with his new band The Band of Gypsys (formed after the breakup of the Jimi Hendix Experience) which consisted of Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums.
