Wilderness Survival Kit, v2 - 5col Survival Supply

5col Survival Supply describes a "wilderness professional" as a person whose work takes them into the back country. This person could be anyone from a surveyor to a ranger to a biologist. In every case, a wilderness professional will have a whole range of tools and equipment needed to do his or her job, but still needs a compact but thorough survival kit when things go wrong. The 5col Wilderness Survival Kit, v1 is designed with these people in mind. Our approach to survival kits is heavily influenced by military aviation life support specifications, with a few additions and modifications all our own.  Like USAF kits, we have two separate pouches--a first aid pouch, and a survival gear pouch.  We add to this a beefed up shelter component with a Ripstop nylon tarp and Blizzard Survival EMS Blanket.  If you have SERE training, you will probably recognize a number of components in this kit, from the Spark-Lite to the Signal Mirror.  Our goal is to use the highest quality components, and w
