Made with more sustainable materials and production processes the Women's Topo Ultraventure 3 ECO is Topo Athletic's most environmentally friendly model.    Details  The Women's Topo Athletic Ultraventure 3 ECO is the first shoe produced by TOPO utilizing their ECO Program. The mission behind the ECO Program was to create footwear utilizing more sustainable materials and production processes. TOPO felt Ultraventure 3 was the obvious choice due to the intimate relationship trail runners and hikers have with preserving the great outdoors.  This environmentally friendly model of the the Topo Ultraventure 3 does not sacrifice the qualities trail runners and hikers have come to love since the shoe was released in November 2022. Topo added 5mm of cushion to their best-selling trail running shoe while reducing the weight by over 6 grams. The Topo Athletic Ultraventure 3 ECO added their updated ZipFoam™ midsole which allows it to have more cushion compared to previous models while retaining responsiveness and being lightweight.   For our environmentally conscious customers in Salida, Co we have sold this shoe to hikers and trail runners that prioritize the TOPO fit of a wide forefoot, snug mid-foot and secure heel who also want high cushion and responsiveness.    Sustainable Materials and Production   The upper, laces and liner of Women's Topo Athletic Ultraventure 3 ECO are made of 65% recycled polyester from reclaimed water bottles. The protective toe bumper and print overlays are made of 15% recycled rubber that is typically thrown out after the molding process of other footwear. TheZipFoam™ Midsole is made from 15% recycled rubber/EVA. Lastly the outsole is made the Vibram® ECOSTEP compound composed of the 30% recycled rubber.     Technologies    ·Vibram® ECOSTEP Outsole The Ultraventure 3 ECO retains the 5mm, grip and durability it has always been known for but introduces Vibram®'s ECOSTEP outsole made from a minimum 30% recycled rubber. · Engineered Mesh UpperThe upper on Women's Topo Athletic Ultraventure 3 is breathable, has excellent elasticity for reducing hot spots and is sustainable made from 65% recycled polyester.
