Planet Brain: SFX is a collection of NES-style 8-bit sound effects inspired by Metroid, centered on the game’s distinctive sci-fi combat action. This pack focuses on space-themed weapon and damage sounds, including beam shots, bombs, missiles, and screw attack effects, along with the results of those actions such as enemy hits, enemy defeats, player damage, and death sounds. It also includes environmental and utility sounds such as doors, jumps, item pickups, bubbles, enemy spawning, and pause jingles. Each sound effect is provided with several closely related variations, giving you alternate sounds that keep the same character and function. All sounds are created from scratch using original synthesis and sound design techniques, capturing the character of the original hardware without sampling or copying any game audio.
