Ratings:        ( for 2018 Vintage)  ( for 2015 Vintage)    Tech Sheet: Vintage: 2018   Appellation: Lalande-de-Pomerol   Description: The Chateua Haut Surget  vinification takes place in thermo-regulated cement vats in order to better control the temperatures. The macerations in vats after the vinification are long (around 4 to 5 weeks), in order to extract the best tannins and color. The Chateau Haut Surget continues to age in new barrels and first wine barrels for a year.   Tasting Notes:   Rich dark and ripe plums with sweetly spiced earthy aromas. The palate has assertive plump fruit presence amid  smooth, curvaceous tannins that wrap neat into the fniish.   Blend: Merlot: 70% Cabernet  Franc: 15% Cabernet Sauvignon: 15%
