In August 1863, Ford's Theatre made its debut in Washington DC. This iconic theater gained notoriety as the tragic location of Abraham Lincoln's assassination. On the fateful night of April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Booth sneaked into the theater box where Lincoln and his wife were enjoying a performance of "Our American Cousin." There, Booth discreetly drew a single-shot derringer from his pocket and aimed at Lincoln's head, firing the fatal shot. Following the dreadful incident, Lincoln, severely wounded, was promptly carried across the street to the Petersen House, where he passed away the next morning.The co-founder of A. B.
