Victorian Sterling Mixed Metals Flower Locket

A beautiful mixed metals locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era!  The oval-shaped locket, which is particularly large in size, displays a blooming rose gold flower at the center, finished with large green gold leaves lining its stem. Engraved details provide texture to the design, and a scalloped rose gold border surrounds the central image. Finishing the stunning design is a delicate beadwork pattern that lines the outer edge. The piece hangs from a fluted sterling bail at the top and when opened, the interior of the locket reveals two open spaces, perfect for storing special photographs inside. A lovely example of Victorian artistry, this exceptional locket would make a special keepsake addition to any collection!   Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, including the bail. The oval locket itself measures 1 3/4" tall, 1 3/8" wide, and 1/4" thick.  Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage
