This gaiter is knit with a sport weight yarn and you can knit it up in an afternoon. This is a snug cowl. I have a coat with a zipper that rubs on my chin when zipped all the way up and makes my chin chafe. This neck gaiter is snug to fit around your neck and protect it from the wind (and zippers!). SIZES One size, medium adult MATERIAL Sport Weight yarn, 218 yards for 100 grams That was plenty to produce a snug gaiter.  I used 62 grams of this yarn Gauge:  4.5 stitches and 6 rounds to 1” in stockinette stitch pattern unblocked             Needles Size:              US 8 (5mm) Choose size needed to get gauge.
