Subtle coloring and abrash (variations in the colors) give it the feel and look of a true antique Caucasian rug. These durable flatweave rugs are created by a warp-wrapping process (see "Soumak"). All wool (on a cotton warp), these rugs are not only very long-lasting but also completely natural and nontoxic -- unlike so many of the rugs that are found today, such as the tufted rugs. Handwoven in India of 100% New Zealand wool.
