Celadon is the term used for the greenish ceramic glaze used on stoneware as well as for the wares glazed in the jade green celadon color. Celadon pottery originated in China during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE.) To create celadon-ware artisans apply a wash of liquified clay which has a high iron content to the body of the stoneware prior to glazing. During fireing the iron in the clay interacts with the glaze creating the green color that has become synonymous with the term "celadon." Between the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and the Song Dynasty (960–1279) celadon-ware was exported to most of Asia and in the 14th century (Ming Dynasty) it finally arrived in Europe. Celadon-ware became highly prized in Japan, Korea and Thailand as well as other East and Southeast Asian countries. In Korea the celadons produced under the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392) are regarded as the classic wares of Korean porcelain. Capacity: Teapot -- 200 ml,                  Teacup -- 50 ml
