The Great Work by Ranges released March 30th, 2025. The Great Work is a four-cassette box set from Ranges, offering reimagined interpretations of past compositions. Inspired by Hermeticism and the alchemical Magnum Opus, each cassette represents one of the four stages of transformation: Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, and Rubedo—a journey from dissolution to illumination. These versions strip the original songs down to their essence—slowed, stretched, and reshaped into something more meditative and textural. The result is a deeper exploration of familiar themes, filtered through the lens of decay, purification, and rebirth. Months of careful reconstruction, sound design, and visual experimentation went into this project.
