
Mini Stitching Meditation Kit
Meditative Stitching is a practice I have created to calm my nervous system. My nervous system is easily excited which in many ways is great! I am easily and enthusiastically inspired. However, it can be hard to put actions into motion when I am so excited. To rebalance, I meditate while stitching. I learned long ago that from touching cloth and thread, I can quiet my racing thoughts, rest, and feel calmer and more centered. Meditative Stitching is the act of breathing, stitching, and being present. Here's how to practice: Find a comfortable place to stitch.Breathe. Stitch.As thoughts arise, acknowledge them, and let them go.Stay present with the stitching that is in your hands. Even just a few stitches a day makes a difference in feeling calmer! This process involves very little skill, you only to need to know (or learn) how to thread a needle.
