Charlotte's Web Literature Unit

Lesson Intentions: The "Charlotte’s Web" Literature Unit includes vocabulary words and follow up work on each chapter reading. The follow up activities include the following: writing prompts, art projects, role-playing debate, a Wilbur timeline, a barnyard map project, word web, an imagination collage, fair poster, concrete poetry, and an end of book legacy tree. Materials: This literature unit includes 31 pages of work, a book(s), a work journal, colored pencils, and a pencil sharpener.  “Charlotte’s Web” is a heartwarming story about friendship, loyalty, and the power of words. The story follows a young pig named Wilbur and a clever spider named Charlotte.  Wilbur, the runt of the litter was rescued by a strong-minded girl named Fern rescued him.
