#002 Abidible "God is Love" Study

"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." (1 John 4:16b, ESV) DESCRIPTION Updated September 2024! We are called to love God with all of our heart, soul, and might (Deut. 6:5). But at one point or another, every Christian finds himself or herself struggling to sustain their love for God.  C.S. Lewis said, "The great thing to remember is that, though our feelings come and go, His love for us does not. It is not wearied by our sins, or our indifference; and, therefore, it is quite relentless in its determination that we should be cured of those sins, at whatever cost to us, at whatever cost to Him." We can't love God as He calls us to if we don't start with the knowledge that He first loved us. There is great freedom for the believer who has come to know and to believe the love that God has for them. To know this love, we must study God's Word. We must abide in Him. It's time to stop trying to white knuckle it when it comes to loving God. Our God IS
