Designed and crafted in 1968 this now iconic chair model is ultra-rare as it features the ability to not only swivel 360 degrees but reclines as well whilst most Model 68's only swivel. The right-side lever locks the chair in and out of the reclined position with ease and features a solid walnut handle.Georg Thams was a German industrial designer born in 1935 in Flensburg and died in 2016 in Tønder, Denmark. He studied at the Flensburg School of Applied Arts and began his career working as a carpenter before turning to industrial design.
