While he rules the day, Mayari rules the night, and her lost eye is why the light at night is dimmer. I also drew her holding a kampilan which is a legendary sword known to kill enemies with one strike. The hilt usually depicts the bakunawa, which in Filipino myth is a dragon that eats the moon, which was an explanation for lunar eclipses.
