Rikyu Sakura Chawan Matcha Bowl 250ml

This chawan matcha tea bowl is decorated with Japanese "Sakura" cherry blossoms. It is named after Rikyu, a 16th century man who influenced profoundly not only Japanese tea ceremony, but the Japanese way of life. Rikyu was a man of simple taste who cultivated a disciplined lifestyle and defined the term "wabi cha," emphasizing simplicity, rusticity and other humble qualities that have come to be inherent in, embodied by, and emphasized in Japanese tea ceremony and philosophy.  This chawan is 11.5 cm wide, 6.5 cm tall, and has a capacity of 250ml.
