A fine 19th century Japanese Meiji period bronze sculpture in the form of a decaying tree trunk. The base of the tree with a hollowed cavern housing a standing figure. The figure is guarded by a dragon. On the rear of the tree is a six character seal of the sculptor. Dimensions: Height 13.5”, Depth 10”, Width 9.5”
