This relic originates from the fuselage of C-53-DO skytrooper "Beach City Baby," discovered abandoned in Ohio after decades of dormancy. In 2015, a team of volunteers embarked on a massive restoration effort, repairing and refitting the aircraft for flight. After years of hard work, "Beach City Baby" was fully restored and took to the skies again in 2022, preserving an important piece of aviation history.
