We're proud to offer this slow-dried natural coffee from the highlands of Burni Telong on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.Produced by smallholder farmers in partnership with Central Sumatra Coffee, this lot reflects both the region’s rich volcanic soil and the intentional, hands-on approach of the producers who cultivate it. Unlike the more common wet-hulled processing associated with Sumatra, this coffee is dried slowly in its whole cherry—a meticulous natural process that highlights the fruit character often hidden in Sumatran coffees. The extended drying allows sugars to develop gradually, resulting in a cup that’s unexpectedly vibrant, layered, and expressive. The resulting flavor profile is a mosaic of strawberry, black tea, and almonds. A rare expression of Sumatra’s potential, this coffee is both familiar and completely surprising. A limited-release standout.
