W5100 Ethernet Shield with Long Pins for Arduino

W5100 Ethernet Shield with Long Pins for Arduino

$9.55

This is the same shield included in our Ethernet Shield AddiKit. This shield has longer pins than is standard on many Arduino compatible Ethernet shields. The longer pins on this shield keep the shield spaced enough from the connected Arduino to prevent any unwanted electrical connections from occurring between the shield and the USB jack on most Arduino boards. As with all of our assembled products, we test every one of these shields. Description The Ethernet shield for Arduino is used to connect an Arduino to the internet using the Wiznet W5100 Ethernet chip Compatible with Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega microcontrollers Supports up to four socket connections at one time Includes reset button that can reset the W5100 Ethernet chip and the connected Arduino board The Ethernet shield has 0.5in long pins, which prevents the shield from touching components of an Arduino when attached Micro SD card slot on Ethernet shield 8 LEDs; the LEDs represent: TX (green) - flashes when the shield sends data RX (green) - flashes when the shield receives data COLL (red) - flashes when network collisions are detected FULLD (green) - indicates that the network connection is full duplex 100M (green) - indicates the presence of a 100 Mb/s network connection (as opposed to 10 Mb/s) LINK (green) - indicates the presence of a network link and flashes when the shield transmits or receives data PWR (red) - indicates that the board and shield are powered LED on digital pin 13 (green) - indicates the state of pin 13 from the attached Arduino Resource Links Connecting your Ethernet shield to your Arduino Using the Ethernet Library included with the Arduino IDE Ethernet AddiKit Quick Start Guide (pdf) Arduino SD Card Library Reference
