Wosoko Sweater
About the Print: Our Wosoko print was inspired by bògòlanfini (meaning "mud cloth" in the Bambara language), a handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. Bògòlanfini holds and important place in traditional Malian culture - it is worn by hunters as camouflage, protection and as a badge of status. Women are wrapped in the fabric after they enter adulthood and right after giving birth. Patterns in bògòlanfini fabrics have various cultural meanings, depicting mythological concepts, proverbs and historical events. This print features the common bògòlanfini pattern known as "wosoko," the Bambara word for "sickle" (a farming tool) because the pattern resembles the back of a sickle's blade. About the Style: Our cozy sweater brings our vibrant prints to a classic style. The soft fabric pulls easily over your toddler’s head and gives room for a snug or looser fit. Dress the sweater up or down, depending on your plans for the day! Made from organic cotton, this sweate
