Magic is Found in the World Around Us

When I was a child, I was in love with the idea of magic. I would act out adventures and stories all through my imagination in my backyard. The forest there was full of giants and fairies, and when a thunderstorm came, that meant a climactic battle was about to occur. I realized the magic in the world around me. I realized the magic of creativity. Still today, thunderstorms inspire creativity within me and are peaceful events for me.  I painted this during a thunderstorm. I let the patter of rain, the rumbling of thunder, and the shining of the lightning provide a meditative backdrop to my practice. I welcomed the magic of creation using the energy of nature to inspire me.
