Adsum + Sanders Vibram Sole Split Toe Gibson

Sanders has been handcrafting shoes in Northamptonshire, England since 1873, establishing a reputation for durable, timeless footwear. For this collaboration, we reinterpreted their classic split-toe Gibson, the Jonah, and introduced a new last to create a more casual, rounded toebox. The shoe is built with Goodyear welt construction and set on a Vibram 1249 Mister Tank sole—a tread originally designed by Vitale Bramini for outdoor and mountaineering use. The vulcanized rubber sole provides outstanding durability and traction, making the Split Toe Gibson suitable for both everyday wear and demanding conditions. The upper is cut from waxed suede by Charles F. Stead Tannery in Leeds, a renowned producer of high-performance leathers since 1890. Naturally water-resistant, the suede can withstand rain, sleet, and snow while developing character over time. Inside, a naturally tanned full calf leather lining ensures comfort and breathability.
