Shell of Alabama  It is grafted onto the semi-dwarf MM111 root. The Shell Apple  was grown  in Alabama and developed by Mr. Green Shell . They have a   crisp texture and a balance of sweet and tart flavors. They are green apples fruiting in lJune to late July. They would make a nice  companion to Anna and Dorsett Golden. Heirloom apple. A Shell apple on a semi-dwarf MM111 rootstock will typically grow to be around 15 to 20 ft at maturity.
