Modern Mild Ales are mainly dark colored with an abv of 3% to 3.6%. Once sold in every pub, Mild has experienced a catastrophic fall in popularity since the 1960s and has completely disappeared from many parts of the United Kingdom. This is the 2009 Big Brew Recipe. Malt forward, but remarkably balanced, with notes of caramel, toast and chocolate. Makes for a great Session Brew.
