METROGEL (Metronidazole)

What is this medication? MetroGel (for the skin) is used to treat skin lesions caused by rosacea. MetroGel may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. How should I use this medication? Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed. Do not take by mouth. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin. Wash and gently dry your skin before applying MetroGel. Apply the medication in a thin layer and rub in completely. You may apply cosmetics after using MetroGel. Do not use MetroGel to treat any skin condition that has not been checked by your doctor. Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time, even if your symptoms quickly improve. Skipping doses can increase your risk of infection that is resistant to medication.
