Use your other hand to guide where to place while the other hand lays it down. You may use soap / water underneath overlay, but not required. Only use water method if backing is ORACLE, if it 3M, DO NOT USE WATER METHOD. Make sure you have a padded card or soft glove to put on your fingers to begin applying the overlay on the reflector. If not, your fingers will work If using your fingers, start from the pointy edge of the overlay working your way towards the other side of the reflector. Swipe left and right or up and down to gradually to reduce bubbles If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion If there are bubbles make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it towards the closest edge If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles, do not add too much heat or it'll deform.  Once laid to the desired placement, post-heat the overlay so that it will activate the glue and form around the curves of the reflector for a more flush fitment.
