Grumman F8F Bearcat

The Grumman F8F Bearcat was a single-engine, carrier-based fighter aircraft developed for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps during the late stages of World War II. It was a smaller, lighter, and more powerful successor to the Grumman F6F Hellcat, designed with emphasis on exceptional climb rate and maneuverability. A total of 1,266 Grumman F8F Bearcat fighter aircraft were built, according to multiple sources.
