In firm landing mode the cover's zipper can be used as an adjustable air baffle for cushioning adjustment (much like an air bag). We classify our pads as "stunt grade", using a higher quality foam* designed to cushion better and be a more durable quality than gymnastics grade. The vinyl and mesh are made of a higher quality, fire resistant material that will resist wear much better than standard pads. The seams and handles have been re-enforced making our comfort grip handles pull-out resistant.
