ABHD5 Rabbit mAb Sizes: 20µl, 100µl Catalogue Numbers: A8673-20, A8673-100 Citations, Manuals and SDS Available upon request. Background: The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a large family of proteins defined by an alpha/beta hydrolase fold, and contains three sequence motifs that correspond to a catalytic triad found in the esterase/lipase/thioesterase subfamily. It differs from other members of this subfamily in that its putative catalytic triad contains an asparagine instead of the serine residue. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Chanarin-Dorfman syndrome, a triglyceride storage disease with impaired long-chain fatty acid oxidation. Synonyms: CGI58; IECN2; NCIE2; ABHD5 GeneID: 51099 Swiss-Prot: Q8WTS1 Reactivity: Human, Rat Calculated Molecular Weight: 39kDa Observed Molecular Weight: 42kDa Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 100-200 of human ABHD5 (Q8WTS1).
