Turkesterone is a naturally occurring ecdysteroid and the primary bioactive compound in the plant, Ajuga Turkestanica. Ecdysteroids are a class of compounds that are structurally similar to androgens.There is promising evidence available for in vitro studies on human muscle fibers as well as a multitude of animal models showing enhanced growth rates with ecdysteroid ingestion.
