Long Term Care Survey (Published August 2024)

Important Update The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released an updated Appendix PP of the State Operations Manual (SOM), as outlined in QSO-25-14-NH. These updates introduce significant revisions to the surveyor guidance used to assess compliance with federal regulations in long term care facilities and became effective on April 28, 2025. The American Health Care Association (AHCA) is reviewing the changes to help members understand their impact.
