Silkenwool - Non-superwash, fingering weight yarn

This sleek and super-soft base of non-superwash, 21 micron merino and 40% mulberry silk is quickly becoming our favorite hand-dyed base for garments.  We are proud to introduce this line of beautiful silky yarn from Taiwanese-American dyer, Sharon of Rui Knits.  This gently variegated and semi-tonal collection was specially curated for us by Sharon for the release of the Oolong Tee pattern (shown here in Basking in Oolong, our custom color).  This base has a cool and smooth hand, with lovely sheen from the silk. It takes up the dye gently. We recommend it for shawls and transitional sweaters and tees.
