Imperial Year of the Dragon touches our past while reviving the pillars of recent limited-edition success. The new edition will be available to dealers from September 2024. Imperial Year of the Dragon revisits the core artisanal features of Skulls & Roses, the sold-out 2022 edition that premiered our 5-axis fibre laser capability with striking, full-body tattoo engraving. Like its predecessor, our new edition is made in numbered runs of 333 fountain pens and rollerballs. Once again, multiaxial laser-engraving has been used to subvert the essential form of Extra, elaborating sterling silver with bespoke, 19th-century tattoo illustration cut into its entire length. Tarnishing and brushing effects provide a gritty, vintage patina that accentuates the engraving’s extraordinary density and crispness.
