Hand-hewn from sustainable harvested Mexican Ironwood, this spoon was made using traditional tools only. After harvesting the wood from downed branches, the wood was shaped with a single-beveled carving hatchet, knives, gouges, and scrapers. This piece is made from the light-colored sap wood, with a dark line of spalted wood.
